Dear Students,
You will find many reasons to consider Malaysia Consortium for Education Mauritius for your university experience. I encourage you to take some time to consider the outstanding qualities of the programmes that we launched, our beautiful Mauritius Island, and our unrivaled student support services. I could go on and extol those virtues, but I want to speak directly to one aspect of selecting a university that is close to my own heart.
University of Utara Malaysia is already at the forefront of internationalisation amongst all Malaysian universities, and joining forces with Malaysia Consortium for Education Mauritius; our aim is to ensure that the international students who choose to make Mauritius their home will thrive in such an environment.
We have a beautiful, safe country as well as a caring, dynamic faculty who provide an atmosphere that will foster learning and exploration.
As a parent myself, I have realized the importance of a secure physical environment in an academic climate that nurtures intellectual growth and creativity. My office is here to give support and guidance in respect to the unique needs of international students – whether it be assistance in navigating immigration issues or advice about obtaining a driver’s license – and I take that role very seriously.
Working with international students has been a passion of mine for many years, I have worked as the Administration in charge and as the International Support Officer in several colleges in Morocco, in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and in the Kingdom of Bahrain and I am committed of making Malaysia Consortium For Education Mauritius the most welcoming and caring place that it can be for students who are far from home. I tell students “I am here for you,” and I don’t say that lightly. I mean it.
Parents of students studying abroad can rest assured that they, too, can reach out to my office if need be. As I said, I am a parent too. I have asked myself how I would want my own children to be treated if they were studying in another country.
The truth is, I would want to know that there is at least one person who would care for my children like they care for their own, and who will see them not just as “students” but as unique, interesting people in need of compassion, empathy, support, and guidance. I see that as my role – to be that person for MCEM international population.
I welcome any questions that you might have as you navigate the process of selecting us, and I hope that you will decide to make Malaysia Consortium for Education Mauritius your city of knowledge.
