About UiTM

Universiti Teknologi MARA – UiTM is one of the top Public universities in Shah Alam, Malaysia. It is ranked #651-700 in QS Global World University Rankings 2021. Established in 1956 as RIDA (Rural & Industrial Development Authority) Training Centre (Malay: Dewan Latehan RIDA), it opened its door to some 50 students with a focus to help the rural Malays.  

UiTM is one of Malaysia’s most innovative and entrepreneurial universities, forming linkages with industry to enrich research and innovation activities and enhance its entrepreneurial culture. It is Malaysia’s largest institution of higher learning in terms of size and population. In addition to the main campus in Shah Alam, Selangor, the university has expanded nationwide with 12 state campuses, satellite campuses and 21 affiliated colleges. Through this vast network the university offers almost 480 academic programs and provides over 175000 students with a conducive and vibrant learning environment, preparing them for careers in public and professional practice and leadership in various fields
