Programme Overview
Economic Crime and fraud is an area of great concern and interest for agencies in the public and private sector throughout the world. The detection, prevention and elimination of economic crime and fraud is crucial for the economic health and well-being of corporations and nations.
The HELP University Institute of Crime and Criminology (ICC) provides education and training
to nurture field professionals in the areas of economic crime and fraud management. ICC offers numerous workshops and customised courses on wide variety of economic crime and fraud related topics to serve the needs of individuals and agencies. We are the only one of its kind in Asia who delivers authentic customised economic crime management programme. Our speakers/trainers are mainly practitioners sort from the industry in collaboration with the
Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) Malaysia.
This training programme enhances the knowledge and critical analytical skills for the effective
management of economic crime. It covers these essential aspects:
• Types of economic crime: white collar crime, corporate crime, corruption, transnational
money laundering.
• Tools and techniques: forensic accounting, legal powers, legislation, inter-government
protocols, polygraph and psychological tests, interview skills.
• Cyber-crime: varieties and techniques for management.
• Terrorism and subversion: funding, detection and investigation.
Programme Objective / Aim
The programme aims to:
Provide exposure to the varied fields of economic crime;
Develop the relevant skills and expertise in graduates to enable them to take a holistic
approach in the management of economic crime;
Produce graduates who are able to critically evaluate and interpret economic crime
management concepts for crime detection; and
Master the knowledge of economic crime prevention .

Entry Requirement
A Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university with a CGPA score of at least 2.50
(preferable with industry experience); those with a CGPA score of less than 2.50 but with 5
years of relevant working experience can be admitted too OR Other Equivalent qualification
AND
ELTS score of 6.0 or equivalent
