Master of Management (Integrated Coastal Zone Management)

The Master of Management (Integrated Coastal Zone Management) is designed specifically for science  and  social  science  degree  holders.  The  programme  aims  to  develop  organizational leaders who can drive for future development socially and ethically responsible to awareness on environmental sustainability.

The program helps to develop graduates who are able to apply, manage, and lead successful activities related to coastal communities development, conduct research based on coastal resources through application of management, economic and scientific theories.

At  the same time ,  the programe help  graduates who are able to  solve  problem  critically, creatively, and innovatively, communicate effectively related to integrated coastal zone by using communication and accountability approach.

The specified  programe  enables  the  formation  of graduates  who embraces  sustainability of nature,   science   and   technology,   and   socioeconomics   through   theoretical   and   practical applications in integrated coastal zone.

Programme Objectives

Upon completion of the Master of management (Integrated Coastal Zone Management), students will be able to get exposure in enhancing knowledge on economics, environment, management, law and policy related to coastal zone.

Students will be able to develop essential skills including critical thinking , problem solving and collaborative working.

The Master of Management (Integrate Coastal Zone Management) helps to develop skilled and trained workforce who are holistically capable with the following abilities:-

Integrate and have comprehensive knowledge about economic resource management, community development and  environmental sustainability.

Able to handle and manage professionally and ethically the current issues related to coastal communities and environmental sources.

Capable of using the approaches that are appropriate to the proliferation of new ideas derived from current issues related to integrated coastal zone management.

Have good communication skills, able to think critically and scientifically, and embraces lifelong learning.

Aware of the importance of resource management and environmental sustainability based on integrated coastal zone management.

Entry requirements

  • 2 STPM principal passes with a minimum Grade C (GP 2.00) in any 2 subjects and a pass in Mathematic and English at
    SPM level or any equivalent qualification;
  • 2 A-Level principal passes;
  • 5Bs in Senior Middle Three (SM3 or UEC);
  • Matriculation/ Foundation qualification with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 out of 4.00 or any equivalent qualification;
  • Any qualifications equivalent to Diploma or Advanced Diploma (Level 4 or 5 MQF) with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 out of
    4.00;
  • International Baccalaureate with a minimum score of 24 point;
    Australian Qualification
  • Pass minimum 2 subjects in subjects in Australian Capital Territory Year 12 with an average of 50%
  •  Pass minimum 2 subjects New South Wales: Higher School Certificate (HSC) with an average of 50%
  • Pass minimum 2 subjects Northern Territory Certificate of Education (NTCE) with an average of 50%
  • Pass minimum 2 subjects Queensland Senior Certificate with an average of 50%
  • Pass minimum 2 subjects South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE) with an average of 50%
  • Pass minimum 2 subjects Tasmanian Certificate of Education (TCE) with an average of 50%
  • Pass minimum 2 subjects Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) with an average of 50%
  •  Pass minimum 2 subjects Western Australia Certificate of Education (WACE) with an average of 50%
  • Pass minimum 2 subjects South Australian Matriculation (SAM) with an average of 50%
  • Pass minimum 2 subjects Tertiary Entrance Education (TEE) with an average of 50%

 

Note: International students are required to achieve a minimum score of 5.5 for IELTS or its equivalent
